Glossy Beauty x Wellness Summit
The boundaries of the beauty, personal care and wellness categories are less distinct — and more nuanced — than ever. The 2015 edition of the Glossy Beauty x Wellness Summit, hosted by the media company Glossy, takes a big-tent approach to connecting with consumers across the self-care space, with executive speakers representing Ulta Beauty, Therabody, K18 and Liquid I.V. scheduled to appear. Also on the agenda: talks led by technical experts (Moonshot AI) and creative leaders (Shutterstock).
November 4-7
SEMA Show
The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is a giant in the automotive aftermarket space, boasting more than 7,000 member companies. Its annual trade show reflects that size and scope: Some 2,000 exhibitors will descend on Las Vegas to show thousands of products in 15 categories, ranging from off-road recreation to mobile electronics. Marketers working across the auto, transit and mobility sectors will attend to keep an eye on emerging trends and technical innovation.
November 7-8
Digital Marketing for Financial Services Summit
The 12th annual Digital Marketing for Financial Services (DMFS) New York Summit bills itself as “the only event series designed for financial services leaders overseeing digital marketing strategy, operations and technology.” This year’s keynote topics range from AI search optimization and CRM integration to Gen Z talent acquisition, all through the lens of regulated industries. Northwestern Mutual, Fidelity, Prudential, BlackRock and other financial heavyweights will send delegates.

Latin Grammy Awards
The Latin Grammys continue to benefit from a convergence of long-tail trends, including the globalization of streaming music platforms, the multicultural bent of younger consumers and the ascent of viral megastars (see: Bad Bunny, J Balvin). Especially for brands with dedicated Spanish-language marketing efforts, the award show’s large TV audience and social media buzz present a wider range of opportunities for activation.
November 16-18
U.S. Private Label Trade Show
Organized by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PMA), this expo draws an array of buyers (supermarkets, drug store chains, mass merchandisers, C-stores, online retailers); importers and exporters; wholesalers and discounters; and even military exchanges. Exhibitors of all sizes, including manufacturers who supply store brands, will feature on the show floor.
November 17-19
ProcureCon Marketing
As the name suggests, this event is aimed at procurement and supply chain leaders, with an agenda focused on strategic sourcing, technical innovation and operational efficiency. Quad will have representatives in attendance; please reach out (via quad.com/contact) if you want to make plans to connect with Quad execs.
November 18-19
The Wall Street Journal CMO Council Summit
The theme for this year’s CMO Council Summit is “The Influence Equation” — emphasizing the need for marketing execs to raise their profiles (both within and outside their companies), covering topics such as reputational management and forging stronger bonds with C-suite peers. Featured speakers are slated to include Kristen D’Arcy, CMO of True Religion; Frank X. Shaw, Chief Communications Officer at Microsoft; and Taylor Montgomery, Global Chief Brand Officer at Taco Bell.
November 19
59th Annual CMA Awards
This awards show, presented by Country Music Association (CMA), is increasingly associated with younger consumers and global appeal. Indeed, an international Live Nation study published earlier this year found that nearly two in three country music listeners are Gen Z or millennials.

Black Friday
Traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S., Black Friday is always top of mind for retailers and marketers. But new consumer research conducted by The Harris Poll (THP), outlined in “The Return of Touch Report: Holiday Shopping, Reconnected,” presented by Quad, suggests that shoppers are increasingly skeptical of Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) deals.
