Make your well-being your priority

Your starting point to take full advantage of the support offered by QuadMed Wellness Coaches and RDNs is to make an appointment.

Appointments can be conducted in person, over the phone or via Zoom. There is never a limit to the number of sessions available to you. Plus, all sessions are free to Quad employees on the health plan and their covered dependents.

Wellness Coaches and RDNs will help you understand the role your food choices, activity level, stress management skills and other wellness-focused behaviors play in supporting your health. They’ll work with you to achieve total well-being through a balanced focus on education, identifying realistic goals and making incremental changes in your life.

What to expect at your wellness visit:

Sessions, whether over the phone or in person, often last 30 minutes. After addressing current behaviors and understanding your goals and motivations, the Wellness Coach or RDN will develop a custom action plan to help you achieve those goals through realistic lifestyle changes that you can maintain for a lifetime. They will also provide support and accountability throughout the journey. Spanish-speaking Wellness Coaches are available.

The team

Making positive changes can be difficult — but you’re not alone. You have access to a team of Registered Dietitian – Nutritionists and Wellness Coaches who can provide ongoing support and accountability and guide you to achieve your goals.

Wellness coaches

Working with a wellness coach will allow you to explore reasons for making lifestyle changes, identify barriers and develop strategies that will work for you given your experiences and circumstances. Wellness coaches will help you create a customized plan in a variety of areas including:

  • Goal setting and motivation
  • Tobacco cessation
  • Stress management
  • Weight management
  • Time management
  • Improving sleep
  • Increasing physical activity
  • Improving your biometric health screening results

Happy with the healthy habits you already have? Wellness coaches can you help you sustain what you’re doing, even through changes in life circumstances. They’ll explore strategies with you no matter where you are in your journey — think about which habits you can improve by even a small amount to have a greater impact. Wellness coaches will encourage you as your partner, designing change that is personally meaningful.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN)

Nutrition impacts nearly every area of your health, which is why learning the role that food choices play in supporting your health is key to achieving greater overall well-being. We offer free access to RDNs, who can help you achieve and sustain optimal nutrition by providing no cost education, support and accountability for the following and more:

  • Diabetes or pre-diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Cholesterol management
  • Pre-natal, pregnancy, and post-natal nutrition
  • Food allergies or intolerances
  • Weight management
  • Vitamin or mineral imbalances
  • Unintended weight gain or weight loss
  • Digestive disorders
  • Cancer and treatment support
