2021/2022 Windhover Foundation Scholarship Program
The online Windhover Foundation Scholarship application for the 2021/2022 academic year is now open!
Important 2021 Dates
- Application Opens: January 7, 2021
- Application Deadline: March 4, 2021
- Recommendation Deadline: March 11, 2021
- Notification of Selection Results: End of June 2021
- Funds Disbursed: End of July 2021
To qualify for a Windhover Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an unmarried dependent of a full-time Quad employee who has worked at Quad for at least three years prior to July 1, 2021, and whose base salary does not exceed $90,000;
- Be a high school graduate or be a high school student planning to graduate in May/June 2021;
- Plan to pursue post-secondary education on a full-time basis beginning in the fall of 2021;
- Maintain a set GPA of 2.5 or above;
- Have not already graduated with a bachelor’s degree;
- Not have a parent on the Windhover Foundation’s board of directors or scholarship selection committee; and
- Have not already reached the maximum number of awards. (Applicants may receive up to five awards.)
How does my dependent apply for a Windhover Foundation Scholarship?
To maintain a high level of professionalism and security, and independent company that specializes in managing sponsored educational assistance programs – International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) – administers the Windhover Foundation scholarship application.
- Access the application portal through the ISTS website: https://aim.applyISTS.net/Windhover.
- Sign in with the applicant’s username and password.
- If the applicant is new to the portal, they will be required to register.
- Enter the following program key: Windhover.
- Sign in with the applicant’s username and password.
- Once logged in, follow the homepage’s prompts to begin the application.

What does my dependent need to apply for a Windhover Foundation Scholarship?
To complete the online application, your dependent will need to provide the following:
- Estimated school costs for an entire school year (e.g., tuition, books, housing, and transportation),
- An up-to-date resume,
- Their most recent school transcript –
- An unofficial transcript is preferred –
- A 2021/2022 FAFSA Student Aid Report, and
- Two letters of recommendation –
- Applicants will be required to provide the email address of any individuals who are providing a recommendation;
- Recommendations should come from someone who can speak to the dependent’s academic record and/or progress (e.g., a professor, teacher, advisor, counselor, coach, or employer).
Applicants are also required to write a 300-word response to the following question:
How did the COVID-19 pandemic and lock-down affect you? What educational or personal obstacles were presented by COVID-19 that you had to work through? How were you able to overcome these challenges?
**Note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The online application will close once 400 completed applications are received or on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. CST, whichever comes first.

Windhover Scholarships are available to the children of eligible Quad employees. Funded by members of the Quadracci family in partnership with Quad, they are tax-free to the recipient and can be used to help pay for tuition, books and fees at any accredited educational institution. Students must apply for the scholarship each year.
