Considering Alternative Size Catalogs? Do it smartly.

In the wake of the recent exigent postage rate increase, many catalog mailers are considering a switch to smaller sizes. This has the potential to reduce postage rates by shifting the mail class from standard flat to letter mail, or reducing the mailing weight.

It is critical, however, that careful testing be conducted to ensure that an alternative size performs as well as the previous catalog. Additionally, you should know whether switching will take you out of co-mail pools which could also negatively impact your anticipated postal savings.
