Biography

As Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, Daren is responsible for overseeing Quad’s vast production operations, including Press, Finishing and Production Support, across multiple business segments, which include retail inserts, catalogs, direct mail, magazines, packaging, instore, special interest publications and directories. He is also responsible for Quad’s Continuous Improvement and Engineering departments.

Previously, he served as Quad’s Senior Vice President of Manufacturing from 2014 until he was promoted to Executive Vice President in October 2021. Daren joined Quad in 1985 as a Finishing Technician in the company’s then newly built Saratoga Springs, N.Y., facility. He quickly advanced to Mailhead Operator, InkJet Operator, Saddle Stitcher Operator and Finishing Leader before being promoted into management as a Shift Supervisor in 1989 and Finishing Manager in 1995, a role in which he helped start up the plant’s perfect binding operations. In 2004, Daren was promoted to Saratoga Springs Plant Manager, responsible for leading what was then America’s largest printer of weekly magazines. In 2008, he relocated to our corporate headquarters in Sussex, Wis., as Director of Finishing. He was named Vice President of Finishing Operations in 2010.

Daren completed the executive education program at Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business.
